- Where did you grow up?
I have lived in Houston, TX for almost my entire life, before moving to Austin to attend UT in 2017. - What high school did you go to?
I went to Clear Lake High School in a suburb of Houston. - What was your favorite extracurricular activity in high school?
My favorite extracurricular activity in high school was Orchestra by far. I enjoyed playing my cello in a large group with many of my friends. - Why did you come to UT?
I came to UT due to a combination of the reputation of its CS program and due to Austin itself, which is well known as a fun city for college students. - Why are you majoring in CS?
I’ve had a passion for computers since I was a child, and learning how to code is simply an extension of that. Furthermore, CS is, at its core, simple problem solving, which is something I enjoy. - Why are you in this class?
I’m taking this class to strengthen my fundamentals in object-oriented program, as well as to learn more tricks about C++. - How much C++ programming do you already know?
I have a solid grasp on the fundamentals of pointers and C++ programming due to taking Operating Systems with Professor Gheith, but I will likely need to refresh my memory on some of the syntax involved with C++. - How did you feel about the cold calling?
I’m not too worried by the cold calling. I think it is a good way to make sure that students are paying attention without being harsh or unfair.
